By the time you read this I am sitting on a panel at the Empowered for Impact conference, sharing the Breadkrumb story with strangers. Later in the day I also get to talk one on one with people at a booth about the app.
That is genuinely my favorite way to learn anything about this product. Nobody at a booth is polite about a thing that does not make sense to them. You watch their face while they are looking at their own phone and you find out in four seconds whether the idea landed.
Last month someone stopped, listened to the whole pitch, and said: "so it is a place for private media, where people share what they don't want to post to the world." I have been using her reference ever since. It is better than anything on our website.
One thing worth stealing.
If you are tired of your memories fading away into your camera roll, know that it doesn't have to be that way. If you hesitate sharing travel experiences because you don't want your business all over social media, Breadkrumb makes it easy to curate your trip from your photo gallery and choose who gets to see it.
On that note, here is something new.
You can now share a trip as an album with the people who were there, including the ones who are not on Breadkrumb.
Anyone with the link can look through it. You pick who gets to add photos, by phone number, and they add theirs straight from their camera roll. No account and no signup, just a quick code by text so their name lands on their own pictures.
The album stops being just your camera roll. Everyone who was on the trip has pictures you have never seen. Now you get them.
One thing to do
Pick a trip you already took. Open it, add the people who were there, and send them the link.
The photos you never saw are sitting on someone else's phone.
